Every year, APTN connects with potential target and fringe audiences by partnering with over 40 events nationwide.

Reaching out to our audience through sponsorships increases loyalty and viewership while showcasing the networks values and core principles.

All sponsorships undertaken by APTN, national or regional, – will consider our financial resources available that fiscal year. Our partners must align with our mutual missions and attitudes, strategic goals and they must illustrate commitment to the APTN brand.

Due to the large number of requests received, we request that sponsorship and donation proposals be sent within three months of the event or project start date.

Our Sponsorship Mission

We believe our youth are the leaders of tomorrow. That’s why APTN is dedicated to building a strong community by empowering individuals. This involves using the digital transformation of Indigenous storytelling to connect with youth across the country. By doing so, we are sharing our Peoples’ journey, celebrating our cultures, inspiring our children and honouring the wisdom of our Elders.

Contributions (financial and in-kind) on a regional level are limited, and should be submitted early in the fiscal year. APTN’s fiscal year is from September 1 to August 31.

APTN generally does not provide funding or in-kind service support to the following:

  • Political parties, candidates, activities or initiatives
  • Individuals or personal endeavours (e.g. wedding socials or fundraisers)
  • Community activities (e.g. trips)
  • Religiously affiliated organizations or initiatives
  • Military affiliated organizations or initiatives
  • Community club sports teams
  • Travel, accommodation, meal expenses, tours, etc.

Requesting Financial & Contra Sponsorship

As APTN is a non-profit charitable organization, financial sponsorships are budgeted per fiscal year. Although we do provide minimal financial contributions, APTN looks to build relationships with organizations through contra (in-kind) contributions.

APTN provides the following contra (in-kind services):

  • National air-time
  • Website banner advertising
  • Outdoor screen advertising
  • Social media

If your proposal is approved, you may receive an opportunity to negotiate other options.
Requesting Promotional Merchandise and Donations

APTN provides promotional merchandise to various organizations on a national and regional level. However, the request must align with the sponsorship mission and is subject to availability.
