APTN is seeking a top performer in a Senior Management role who is committed to celebrating and promoting a stronger Indigenous production community, across the country. Are you experienced in overseeing the bigger picture for world class programs that educate and entertain audiences in several languages (English, French and Indigenous)? Do you enjoy participating in strategic planning and mentoring your team members? If so, we want to hear from you!
• Become part of the Senior Management team at one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers;
• Contribute to the development of long-term strategic, business and financial plans;
• Manage departmental annual work plans and budgets;
• Oversee the Central, Eastern, and Western, Programming teams – working with independent producers to develop and license original programs, in a manner consistent with APTN culture and values;
• Work closely with the Acquisitions Manager securing the best content from various production studios and distributors;
• Analyze ratings and other program performance measures for future program development strategies.

Your accomplishments and experience include:
• Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline and related senior experience in the broadcasting or program production fields; or equivalent combination of education, experience;
• Leading highly diverse teams;
• Knowledge of CRTC regulations and reporting requirements is an asset;
• Experience with an Indigenous organization and traditional knowledge is an asset;
• Experience with First Nations/Metis/Inuit culture and teachings is an asset.
