Lisa Ducharme, of Cree-Métis and European descent, is a member of Minegoziibe Anishinabe (Pine Creek First Nation), having transferred to be part of the same band as her children and husband. She has lived in Winnipeg for nearly two decades. Originally a member of Saddle Lake Cree Nation in Alberta, with familial roots in nearby Goodfish Lake, Lisa was raised in Amiskwaciwâskahikan (Edmonton) and attended the University of Alberta School of Business.

Lisa joined APTN in 2007 and has since taken on various leadership roles in marketing and programming. As the director of online content and deliverables, she oversees APTN lumi’s programming, manages the network’s in-house content and coordinates the delivery of programming from independent producers to APTN. This role has enabled her to lead the network’s expansion into streaming content, aligning with her passion for making language and culture more accessible on-screen. Her efforts are particularly focused on improving access for Indigenous communities and ensuring their stories are celebrated in the media.
