Manager of Communications / Management
Emili Bellefleur is a proud Acadian, born and raised in the hearty woods of New Brunswick. She completed her bachelor’s degree in recreation studies at the Université de Moncton, where she fell in love with the salty air, high tides and beaches of the Acadian Coast.
In 2007, Emili traded the rocky Atlantic sea for the cool Canadian prairies of St. Boniface, Man., where she worked as director of communications and marketing at Festival du Voyageur. In 2012, she moved back east to Montreal, where she perfected her communications skills as the project manager for one of the city’s most prominent real estate developers.
Motivated to share Indigenous stories and cultures with the world, Emili joined the APTN family in 2015 as a communications coordinator at the Montreal bureau. A few short years later, APTN recognized her leadership skills and initiative by promoting her to the position of manager of communications in 2019.
In her spare time, Emili is a competitive Double Dutch jumper and an avid foodie. Whether she’s cooking up a storm in her kitchen or entertaining a crowd, one thing’s for sure – she’s definitely the hostess with the mostess.
