Manager of Affiliate Relations / Management

Dawn Roache Olivence is an Ojibway/Mi’kmaq from the Ebb and Flow First Nation, MB, and graduated from the Indigenous Broadcast Training Initiative in broadcasting.

Winner of the 1994 Manitoba Indigenous Youth Achievement Award for artistic achievement was a surefire sign of Dawn as a role model. She volunteers on the Board of Directors, Alliance Boxing Club working with inner city youth, and is the Vice President of Public Relations at her local Toastmasters International. It doesn’t stop there – she’s also volunteered with the North American Indigenous Games and the Pan-Am Games.

Dawn has been with APTN since the beginning. In 1999, she was a Scheduling and Traffic Assistant in Yellowknife and, in 2003, she moved on to be the Programming Officer for all Canadian Independent productions.

In 2005, she found her calling as the Manager of Affiliate Relations.
