Dave Prefontaine is of Métis heritage and has resided in Manitoba all his life. He is also a graduate of Red River College’s Domestic Electronic Diploma Program. Throughout his career, Dave has focused on electronic, electrical, and mechanical maintenance of machinery and building infrastructure. He joined APTN in the summer of 2007 as the assistant facilities manager and after one year of mentorship, Dave accepted the position of facilities manager. He uses his expertise to advance the network’s facilities that are often behind the scenes, including the management of renovation projects and troubleshooting daily issues. His role also includes overseeing other operations that ranges from the management of cell phones, vehicles, office equipment, security, furniture, to the procurement of insurance and leases for all our bureaus.

Away from work, Dave enjoys camping and spending time with his grandchildren.
